"IRELAND RISING" at ST GEORGE'S CATHEDRAL // Whiskey, Supper, & Song

On 10th April, at 5pm an Ecumenical Service and Solemn Commemoration will be held at St George's Cathedral, Perth.
"Ireland Rising", an Easter Rising Centenary Commemoration and Irish Cultural Soiree, will immediately follow this at 6pm.
Adding to the programme of commemoration and remembrance of the events of the Easter Rising in Ireland in 1916, an Irish cultural Soiree will be held at St. George's Cathedral, Perth as part of Eat, Drink Perth 2016. Expect the sounds of the harp, the tenor voice of local Irish tenor Cian Eliot, accompanied by six Irish whiskeys over supper and song, offering something of the savour, story, and song of Ireland.
Over 200 were killed in the tragic confrontation in April 1916. A total of 3430 men and 79 women were arrested, with most subsequent;y released. 90 people were sentenced to death, 15 of whom were executed in Kilmainham Gaol by firing squad.
