JB O'Reilly Association's All-Irish Long Weekend // Damien Leith, Sean Roche & more.

The JB O'Reilly Association presents an "All-Irish Long Weekend", Apr 1 - 3, in Bunbury, which promises something for everyone.

JB O'Reilly was an active Irish Fenian, a society of rebels which led armed uprisings against British rule. When he was captured, he was transported to Bunbury as a convict. He eventually escaped to America where he became a prominent, high profile spokesman for his country as editor of Boston newspaper "The Pilot". While there, he continued to work for and arrange the escapes of the remaining Irish convicts in WA.

For more about the life of JB O'Reilly, see jboreilly.org.
